Last Friday, Aso and I went to SM Mall of Asia and tried the “ice skating” thing. It was our first time to try this thrilling experience and, God knows, how I hardly tried to enjoy every piece of it. The Philippines is a tropical country and seeing a huge expanse of ice is quite a new thing for us. So I guess it’s natural to feel the way I felt (and to look the way I looked) when I was in the middle of that ice rink. But it was definitely one of the most memorable experiences I had these days.

To readers of Simply Manila, I apologize if there are no new entries lately, but I really couldn’t think of anything to post aside from pictures of Filipino men. That isn’t really necessary though as I could see that a lot of blogs are already posting pictures of sexy Filipino men from A to Z. My silence only means that I’ve been busy on more important things than blogging. You see, this is just a pastime and I am not really required to do this. There are no duties to fulfill. Perhaps this is just an effect of wanting so badly to interact to more people and learn more culture.

But for the past few days, I was just around checking all the updates and reading all the comments coming in. I miss the old days where I always have enough time to think of something new for my readers. But being preoccupied by all these craziness around my little world may mean more than just the stress or lack of peacefulness. As long as I am still able to smile and laugh all day, then I would say that everything is still in the right place. Some people may notice my restlessness, but isn’t that a sign that I am really working on something that I would like to get? I was born independent, so I’ll work hard if I wanted to. After all, cute pa rin naman ako. LOL. (But, of course, I’m just average. Sa paningin pa nga ng iba, hindi e. HaHaHa.)

One reason why I’m kind of busy lately is due to my double life as a call center agent (from 7:30pm to 4:30am, Friday to Tuesday) and as a dancer (from 1pm to 5pm, MTF). Not go-go dancing ha. I was a dancer when I was in college (Lyceum) and, in some occasions, our dance director would still contact us if there are big shows and tours coming. You know, he would prefer the pros performing rather than the newbies. This time, we’re going to Macau for a brief tour so I’m a little busy for rehearsals. We’ll perform a few dances and attend dance classes. This is not hip-hop nor ballet. Our genre falls somewhere in between. Though I feel it could be interpreted in so many different ways, I’d say it’s modern.

My last performance after a huge crowd was few days ago at the Araneta Coliseum. Before that, I wasn’t performing for 2 years already so I’m glad I still have that ‘kapalmuks’ factor and managed to perform like nothing really happened. I came from work and barely had enough rest that time. Though it only took me 2 bottles of Red Bull energy drink to cheat from mental unsteadiness, it was surely insufficient to combat the weakening of my muscles due to restlessness. I was catching my breath after the performance but it was really great to perform on stage again. Some celebrities and important personalities were there for the event (God Bless, Israel) so it was really a pleasure to contribute something.

Hi. If you ever visited Simply Manila, then you’ve probably knew a little about me. This is another book about my little life and my little journey. I’m not a celebrity. “I am just a simple man with nothing to lose.” This blog is another testimony about my weird thoughts. Let me tell you this early, these thoughts are random and unorganized. No editing. Laid once for all to see. Typed directly into here, and not into Microsoft Word first. No grammar check, but I’ll try to spell all words correctly. I don’t have any kinds of formal training in writing. Except perhaps when I joined a year of journalism class when I was in my senior year in high school, over five years ago. But the bottom line is: This blog is 100% personal and informal. But I don’t mind others visiting this site. Nevertheless, Simply Manila remains my primary blog.
